To a better , brighter 2007!

Had a fun night last night.I would say the people you're with will determine how much fun you get. No bottles were uncorked last night.....perhaps this is the first celebration we had without any alcoholic beverages. This is a good start to the new year i figure, because i think i drink too much already. Besides, I should be drinking tonight anyway ;)

Going to the curve wasn't a problem at all, no jam, ample parking spaces fewer than normal people walking around. Perhaps its because we were there as early as 6pm. Walked around looking at stuff and let SR get some of her (ahem) "Stuff" done.By 7.30pm, the boys were still not there yet, so we went to take our reserved seats at Kenny Rogers and waited for them to arrive before eating dinner.After that we sat and chatted awhile before going into the cineplex for the movie.

The movie was awesome. Night at the museum was boring at first but it got interesting with its wide cast list and great dialogs. Who would have thought that a T-rex was as tame as a puppy? Oh...and the dumb dumb love gum gum thing was rather cute.Love the part where Ben Stiller was shouting in "his own made up" HUN at Attila the Hun and the facial expression of a very confused Attila the Hun was priceless. Somehow, the Hun language sounded kinda Malay to me...weird.

Just as we finished our movie, we made our way to the road outside looking for the best place to see the fireworks. We made up our mind to stay under the connecting bridge between Ikano and Curve coz we would be able to see both sides of the empty space if it was to shoot at either side of the sky. We busied ourselves with the digital camera,*wink* as always and waited for the time the pyrotechnic starts.

It was a wonderful display of colors on the sky. While people where enjoying the fireworks, (thank god for the invention of digital cameras) we attempted our very own group photo with the fireworks behind which was greeted with stares from other visitors but it still turned out great.I recorded a portion of the fireworks on my very lag and blur camera phone and for every fireworks that was shot into the sky, i cannot help but imagine my university fees being burned cause The Curve and University Of Nottingham are both under the same company.Loved the spiral fireworks the most......it looked great.

After watching the whole thing, we hugged each other and wished Happy New Year among ourselves and took more pictures.We jumped into our respective cars only to start the new year with a massive jam in front of Tesco. We officially moved 10 meters in 1 hour.The rest of the time we were stuck either at the parking area or at traffic light.It usually took 5 minutes to get all the way to the LDP,yesterday we took 2 hours to get there.Mr.min was lucky that they parked at the edge of the road so they got out to Island Cafe in ss2 in 10 minutes.At that time our car and J's car was still in Tesco coming out of the car park. After 2 drinks later, they called us only to find out we were still outside Tesco.So they went to the cyber cafe while waiting for us.

Only later on did we know that Mr.min and KR was reserving 8 seats for us while there was a long queue outside......pity them la...no wonder they felt bad and went to the cyber cafe instead of taking up space.When we arrived 2 hours later, the place was still pack but we still found a table. By then all of us were half asleep and trying hard to stay awake, but when the camera is out again, everyone was awake again.Took more pictures and when it was close to 4am, we bade farewell to ZY who was to board the 8am flight back to China and went our respective ways home.

In the car when heading back home, we talked about what has been in 2006 and what we expect in 2007.I'm very happy that we have all grown closer with each other.Now we will miss each other when we don't meet at least once a week.I'll be back to Semenyih on Tuesday after my Cousins wedding Dinner.So it'll be 2 and a half weeks before i'll be back in PJ again.

D364 of Y2K6

Time flies....really, i mean it. It was just like yesterday we were all playing foam at Sunway Pyramid waiting for the countdown to 2006. Its been 364 days and I can smell the new year coming already. But then, I'm still the same person I am 364 days ago and still am sane ,lame & sarcastic just as before.

Overall this year had been an OK & fun year. Started the year with a bottle of beer in hand and loads of foam all over.Turned 22 gracefully with a nice,quiet and sweet(thanks ppl) birthday celebration. Went through IELTS not knowing what to expect(and getting an overall 7.0 for it).Watched and got YZ's signature again when she performed at Lowyat.Missed her concert in Genting because of exams. Successfully gotten my life back together and escaped graduated from hell college with an advance diploma in tow.

The few happier things are being able to fulfill one of my(cant really remember which years) new year resolution of learning extremely basic Japanese.Proving to everyone my worth by getting into Nottingham University Malaysia(2006's new year resolution fulfilled) and of course gaining a whole bunch of lifelong friends from university and experiencing quality alone time without my mom nagging in the background while living on campus. Not forgetting my new laptop that is about the cost of a healthy human liver from the black market in India. Of course the newest would be the marriage of my cousin and her husband after 5 years together.

I don't think I'll be setting any new year resolution this year.I just wish that my friendship with all my different groups of friends will stay on forever and try to do my best in everything i attempt successfully :) To good health, hopes and dreams.......May year 2007 be a year to remember, just as much as 2006 will be!

Shocker...

Just got home after a very event filled day with only 4 hours of sleep. Since ZY came back to malaysia for holidays, we(me, SR, W2 , Mr.min and KR which join later) decided to have a small gathering.So we went for A K session at Neway 1U , watched Love wreck in cineleasure and then had dinner at Only Mee in 1U.

The biggest surprise of the day was SR's new car that she kept as a secret from everyone for a month. Her dad(without everyone not knowing including her mom) got her a new red coloured SUZUKI SWIFT for her 22nd birthday. It came as a big surprise as it was droved right into her porch with a bow on it and the salesman just passed the keys to her wishing her happy birthday. The funny thing was her mom was actually wondering which rich guy actually went through the trouble to get her a new car for her birthday not knowing it was her husbands idea.....hmn....SR , i think auntie knows alot also leh...better watch out :P

Gosh...the guys were way more surprised than we were.When asked to point the car in the car park, playfully Mr.min pointed at the SWIFT thinking it was definitely way out of the budget.....when she nodded her head i saw that shock look on their faces.I & W2 was shown the keys earlier,with the big "S" on it and the red key chain, i knew it had to be a swift, so nothing is shocking anymore.Especially we know how much her dad loves her.

Next shocking news was about ZY's 3 months relationship with his GF in China.Very interesting story indeed.Wont be typing the whole thing out, but its just as good as a scene in a Taiwan drama.Haiyo....even SR wanna take up lessons from his GF. Brave-nya, SR if u're reading this, dont learn lor....i think u super brave liao...with or without alchohol...hehehe.

Have our whole plan for New Years Eve sorted.So it'll be Food, Movie and Fireworks.We tried booking more posh placs for dinner but it would be 70++ for buffet dinner which isn't our plan.so we booking a place in of all places Kenny Rogers in The Curve.We actually playfully just find out if we could book to makan on New years eve anot and they actually can leh...first time i hear fast food outlet can book.But i think if we booked a table(not a place like for birthday or stuff) at KFC or Mc'D's would have been more shocking :)

Drink , drank......now moving on.

Finally,I'm awake from all the drinking at w2's house on Christmas eve till Christmas morning.Its the 10th anniversary of our friendship coz we were there exactly 10years ago on mid-autumn fest when we all still fit in our primary school uniforms.One hell of a crazy night.....couldn't say it was happenin' but it was definitely fun. Our sleepover was really a sleepover to some (you know who you are) but the rest of us were way hyper. I cant even remember how much i drank, but all in all after waking up in the morning and checking out the box, we finished 9 bottles out of a dozen red wines we bought.If not mistaken, there wasn't many who were really drinking either....creepy!

We were at first worried how come our turn out was so poor(W2 organised it) compared to W2's sisters friends, but in the end when all her sisters friends left, then only the real party started.We ate roast lamb and drank to a few awkward discussion of one of W2's sisters friends gender(erm....we later found out it was a he) .We exchanged gifts we got for the person we draw represented by numbers on the spot and in the end, my gift went to ZL( i bought a cup and a tiny soft toy coz i really dunno what to get for a person who might be a girl or a guy) and I got SR's wonderful and creative present.She actually printed her name and the date on a pillow.....way cool! I'll upload it when i take a pic of it.Even the packaging was handmade.Gosh...i think she's in the wrong line of workleh.....

After that everything went hyper with the games and also drinks that came along. We even got SR and W2 to kiss each other(AGAIN) with pictures and videos to proof it.It gets crazy with a few drinks, theres always interesting and crazy stuff happening when SR drinks ;) From then the party got more members.What better way to put it other than Ming's words when she woke up in the morning :

"Eh, how come got another 3 guys on the mattress one?"

Well, somehow in the middle of the night,when we were all drinking (and you now know "who" was sleeping) , J called up and then E's ex-BF ZY and friend KR tagged along and before we know it we (ok, only 3 of us) of awake ppl were driving down the hill from W2's house in the middle of the night on a lamp-less road to lead them all up to the house again. We did that twice and once we even bought chips from the petrol station glass counter.The attendant refused to open the door, so the only thing we could do was to name the items and he would pass it through the small hole in the glass.Kinda funny, its been years since the last time we did something like that.

We continued with our games and all the drinking and by almost 5 am I was already bluring big time.Thanks to the half glass punishment(after not sure how many glasses already), i was floaty. Even the next punishment the kind guys had to finish it for me.Last thing i know was i made my way to the toilet,puked some stuff out and headed back to W2's bed and fell asleep on that spot till 10am in the morning.I even asked where W2 had slept the night before not knowing she had been sleeping next to me the whole night.

I understand how 4 girls can pack into w2's king size but i really have to salute the guys for sleeping on the queen size bed on the floor.How could they squeeze 4 real huge guys is still a mystery as i woke up too late to have a look myself.Mr.min would already take up about half the bed.But i got a not really clear snap shot of 3 guys on the bed which i'll upload later is here below.


At about 11+a.m we got everyone off the beds,those working later to the toilet and the rest of us pack our stuff before heading home with sore heads and tired faces.We girls and ZL jumped into Mr.min's car and the rest in their respective cars and headed back out to PJ after having our noisy party in one of the highest and quietest place I've been to within town. Wait till we start partying in W2's new apartment in K.Damansara thats where its gonna be louder & crazier.

With the partying over, its time i got on to studying. So theres only one more occasion to celebrate before my exams.I'm just way relieved i got my clothes for the wedding dinner already, nothing grand coz i dont think i look good in anything other than jeans but at least i got a skirt my mom liked.I guess thats all that matters for me.

campus study break.

Its the third day i'm on campus during the study break , will be back home tomorrow.Been doing more studying that i will ever achieve at home, so its kinda good also la.Somehow the bed seems to be calling out to me every few minutes, so next best thing is to move to the library which is situated far enough for me to walk out to Mc'Ds from my house. Somehow, its not exactly a good idea either.

Sitting in the library now,trying to study but here got worst distraction than in my room in hostel.God knows what they're trying to do but they're banging and soldering and burning. Somehow it stinks and its noisy here.Argh....its as if u can run but u cant hide.(i've move places 2 times to avoid the noise and smell, the 3rd, i'll be moving back to my room) So i'll be going back to my room soon or i'll die of some inhalation disorder.

Cant wait to go back home tomorrow so that i could do all those backlogged stuff that I've been trying to avoid and have been sweeping under my bed for as long as i could. Somehow theres another week before it, so time to come out and get myself mentally prepared....some things in life we just cant hide from.

Gonna be back at home for the whole of next week for the Christmas sleepover in W2's house and also my cousins wedding.So to everyone reading this:

Feel so much better now. Its a wonder how mamak therapy works. W2 was so sweet that she brought 4 durians to my house just now from her dads orchard. Have yet to try it, but should be nice coz we could smell it in her car :) So since we were so bored, we just asked if everyone was free for a drink or something but unfortunately ming was not picking up the phone because she was watching TV, so only me, SR and W2 went for a drink at Williams.

We talked about everyone including CS and KF.(hey, we didn't talk about E la...weird) how everyone is working and hows my boring life in Uni and all.....unfortunately there isn't any updates on SR, so just too badla.Talked alot as usual and we were surprised how early our session ended. I was like expecting 1 am or something but it was only close to 12am. But then, it was like only 9 pm when we went out, so that explains it la.

Gonna have an interesting Christmas Party ;) cant wait for it.I'm just happy i can skip the same old same old gathering i go to every year.Will be back on campus on wednesday. Most likely will balik either friday or saturday la.I miss my roomies and weirdly, the library too.

Shall try to work on my assignment now. Enjoy life people. I'm OK :)

A painful lesson.

Today, I lost RM 50 due to carelessness in less than 2 minutes, but i earned a lifelong lesson.

I never took whats not mine.I'll leave whatever thats not mine wherever it is and i dont care if the person after me takes it.But i know whoever lost the thing will come back to find it.But if you took it, you're the sinful one. I'm angry at myself for being careless,but I'm much more angrier at whoever who took my shopping bag. Taking whats not yours, you shall rot in hell! Even if u dont, i'm sure you'll lose twice as much as what u took. Nothing in the world you do will wipe your sins!!!

Panas...

I'm now still on campus as i've got a truckload of assignments to do and my wonderful comp at home is has been slowly crawling because its motherboard(according to the PC guy) is slowly dying.Its super hot here but at least i know i'll have something to pass up after totally screwing my AI assignment.Never felt so dumb in my life ever.AI dont only make me feel dumb, it is super frustrating also....wonder how much we utilize when we go work next time.

It's super hot here and I'm like wearing a sleeveless shirt already and yet i'm sweating. Very tired now and my legs are now tired from the walking in PC fair and the sudden urge to go playh ball after that.Woke up this morning just in time to get on the 10.15am bus with Lynnette to go check out the stuff at PC Fair. Looks kinda messy this year, even my previous company i worked for didn't purchase a booth this time.

Had quit a limited time only to look around, so we just looked, stand, think and buy lor. I placed an order for a DELL XPS laptop only because it is within my budget.It was never my first choice but due to budget, i'll have to go for the most suitable and affordable one.I would have bought the Apple if I had another thousand and i might even consider a compaq or fujitsu too if money grew on trees.Not much things were on discountla...theres this ACER guy who tried to get me to buy his one which was rather obvious more expensive than others,thankfully Minh, my vietnam classmate who was there and saw me told me not to get any of it coz...AHEM, their hardware suck.Even lynnette's comp is prove that they dont last.

So at the end of the day, i bought rm20 worth of those back issue mags that i love, a Laptop sleeve for my "coming soon" laptop and obviously my placed order for a DELL.....A free orange pendrive bag and as usual , a bag full of paper. Missed the cute AMD headgears.Would have loved to keep one for christmas.I've not paid for my DELL yet as they'll send a courier guy to collect from my dad on monday and i'll get my lappie 2 weeks from then.Its a 1.83ghz intel core 2 duo processor and 1 gig ram + a 12.1 inch WXGA true life screen for RM3999 Yup it's one ringgit short from my budget and its gonna be a real small one.Its now a RM4367 Intel Core 2 duo 2.0Ghz processor + 1 gig ram + DL DVD Burner + 12.1 inch WXGA truelife screen.Not exactly very appealing designla....but doesn't matter la...i shall study hard so that i can buy all the Vaio's and MacBook's i want in the future.The sleeve i bought was real cool, even Lynnette got one supposingly for SY, but unfortunately it fits her's better so now its for her ACER.

Dont exactly know if my lappie is for my house or campus,but it doesn't matter as long as i can do my programming at home or on campus and pass it up on time.Kinda sleepy now.Been having rested sleep ever since i passed up my AI assignment. My nightmares havent been appearing in my dreams for quite sometime now....which is a good sign *touch wood* .Should go bed now....long day tomorrow.Nite ppl and enjoy your weekend while i have to slog for 3 due dates next week :)
