I'm Back!

After 2 or more long grueling weeks of stressful + partial insomnia + lifelessness + sucky food prone exam period,i'm glad just to be home.Kinda too tired to blog still....so i'll update on the previous happenings in my following blog later on...till then, happy holidays people!

It's 3AM I must be lonely.....

Nottingham University never sleeps. Me included of course. It doesn't mean u gotta be on campus to not sleep. I was finally home for the weekend after 3 weeks on campus and i've lost 2 KG :) After clocking in 10 hours of sleep on Thursday night, i lived through 3 hours of sleep throughout the weekend to finish my Concurrency assignment. In between i managed to buy a new CD player (which is now in my mom's custody), catch a movie and have a dinner with my friends, postponed a yumcha session with K, lived through a virus scare and finally get my hands on the Stefanie album that Ming has been keeping for me.

Watched 300 the other day in separate seats, felt kinda weird with that arrangement but somehow we forgot that it was a public holiday and at 12 pm we only managed these seats for the 4.10pm session.So better than nothing la. Supposed to register as a voter for the next election by march, but missed it totally coz i forgot Saturday was a holiday....so i guess i wont be voting the next time around. Ate at SOHO in 1utama for dinner.I'd say its so so only....food is average, serving small, atmosphere OK but slightly pricey. Could have been better. But then , in this case, its not the food, atmosphere or place that matters. Its the people I'm with that matters the most and the time spent is worth every cent.

After finally passing up my first assignment for the semester, I've still got 2 individual and 3 group projects on tow.Don't know how I'm gonna make it but I'll somehow have to try my very best to complete everything before the dateline within these two weeks. Still trying to read up on the materials and working out the best solutions for my assignments. The only happy thing I'm gonna have this week is the GOOD FRIDAY public holiday!! but then, its not like its gonna make any difference coz I'll still be stuck in my oven room doing my stupid assignments.

Sitting in the SA(Student association) lounge with air-cond doing my assignment with my roomies can be a real fun thing.Perhaps the FREE pool table nearby is the only exercise i get here nowadays. Still too afraid to go play basketball because theres these weird insects giving ppl the itch, so don't think its nice to be caught scratching right? Guitar lessons are getting more and more fun now.Perhaps I sorta de-stress when i go for classes even though its always very stressful thinking about the class when i don't practice enough. Oh yeah....my Guitar tutor crew cut-ed his hair, something about saving on shampoo ^^"

No class tomorrow but theres meeting to attend.Gonna sleep soon. Night ppl. I'm now nocturnal.

Friends, Assignments, Karma and Music.

The new Stefanie Sun album is finally out. Get yours now!

I'm really glad that even when I'm stuck in the middle of NOTTINGHAM jungle, I'm still able to own the album(with free gifts in tow).So here is a very big thank you to Ming for making this possible.I owe you one girl :) But in the mean time i have to thank Dennis for sending the torrent so i can own a copy of the album(2 days ago before it was even launched) and listen to it here.So u cant exactly charge me of piracy coz.....I already own the album...muahahaha...evil right? See...the powers of friendship during emergency.Ok...it might not be emergency to you, but it is for me....and my friends know the importance of that which makes me really happy to have friends like them =P

I've been cheating myself to have free time to watch the prestige yesterday night and also to blog now. I've been having classes and meetings 6 days a row,even my Sundays are used to do my assignments. So busy man.....kinda regret going into reputable uni....it comes with no time and no life. Somehow, if i manage to juggle through everything this semester .... I'd believe i can do miracles.

Its interesting to see Karma in life. Yes, no kidding. Not on me yet (i hope not), but on some other ppl. For instance one of my lecturers who is known to be a terribly sarcastic bloke with poisonous tongue surprisingly needs to be admitted to the hospital for 2 weeks.He even added, if u don't see me back in 2 weeks, I'd most probably be in heaven by then. Somehow, we humans do feel sad no matter how terrible the person is. But then after yesterdays class, he even thanked us for going to his replacement class.....which was shocking and he didn't start his sarcasm at all.Perhaps its the same case like my other lecturer who was rather snobbish until the time he almost died of a heart attack, now....he not only treat everyone as friends, he even helped me with my assignment problems. So you see, when karma hits, it gives us a take 2 in live to be the person we should be.....I'm just hoping its all for the better, a wake up call is enough.....don't take that poor guys life no matter how ppl hate him.

On a lighter note, i cheated the clock again the other day by going to watch our uni's tallent quest (something like american idol) which was actually the first time i joined something in uni. Quite an interesting event,some sang well, some just dont know what they're limits are and well, the winner was a nigerian, so i guess it shows the power of nigeria in our campus, even the now infamous JOJO loses to him.Oh....and theres actually interesting things i found out through SR. I have no idea how a place like Semenyih can brew scandals.....even scandals as far as Johor to KL to semenyih can travel.....worst still,its got to do with someone i know.what a small small world.Can't wait to get back to hear all the stories I've missed.

Counting down......7 days till i get back to civilization.Till then, the album will keep me company.

Not going back this weekend.Loads of Assignments + Projects + Meetings to attend to...and of course because I've got Artificial Intelligence Method class first thing tomorrow morning. Glad that I had a good dinner away from cafeteria.I swear the food now taste the same to me.Try having almost the same thing for lunch and dinner almost twice a day....you do that 1 week and i bet you'll feel the same.

Manage to find some wonderful Stefanie Sun stuff on a Chinese You-Tube looking page but of course, its in Chinese and I've got some problems moving around.Downloaded the software that supposingly claim is able to download the video but somehow, i can't find the button to get it to work. It's either my Chinese sucks or the program is a con. Most probably both LOL!

Don't think I'll be blogging much for the next few weeks unless i get something real interesting to write about.I miss everyone to bits back in PJ. Wonder how was Jamie's trip to HK. I do hope D manage to buy the mag with Stefanie in the cover i wanted from Singapore and yes, he really bought it :) perhaps that will keep me sane through the next 2 weeks of stuck in the middle of the jungle campus life.Till then, enjoy the clip below :)

where did my weekend go?

My time spent at home is getting lesser and lesser.On average i spend less than 48hours a month at home.thats because I've got annoying 9am Artificial Intelligence Method class to attend on selected Saturday mornings....so it sorta leave me with 2 options. 1) catch the 4.30pm bus and go through a ppl pack 2 hour journey switching from train to train on a Saturday evening for a less than 24hours duration stay at home or 2) stay on campus and forget the idea of going home (through traffic and all) for the weekends while imagining whats playing on TV. Sad isn't it.....but then thats a small price to pay for trying to graduate with a degree right? yeah....i gripe alot lately..but the only thing i can do is blog.

The only consolation i got was that i packed my stuff and went home on Thursday night last week so that i could balance my life and spend more time at home.I guess I'm kinda lucky to be home on Thursday night coz it rained the heaviest I've seen in months.My mom came back all drenched and i took video's from my house which show how heavy the rain was and the strong winds.....but then, you'll have to wait awhile before i upload it :P

As usual my weekends now consists of the most important stocking up shopping trip every week i get back home.It's either Giant or Tesco and I'll be buying lotsa instant noodles,milks and biscuits.the new addition now is yogurt...by now i guess if you've noticed me getting rounder...you know where and what made me the way i am now.the answer is DAIRY PRODUCTS! i guess long after puberty hits, every dairy content you take in will somehow not digest any more.we cant grow vertical anymore, so it becomes horizontal lor......what to do, cafeteria food sucks.

My trips to Tesco has been getting more and more interesting.Ok...i guess i try to make it interesting la.Besides looking at what ppl buy in their shopping cart, i also enjoy looking at the stuff they have for offer.....kinda starting to be like an auntie liao.Bargain hunting is fun.I'll end my post here with some interesting photo's.

AGAINST THE LIGHT

My Msn nick started a ruckus during the holidays when my roomies thought i found someone and were happy for me only to find out after the holidays when i got back that it was none other than Stefanie's new album slogan.LOL! I'm still wondering what made them think that way.....is it because I wrote it in Chinese? Don't think so right? This is what i wrote:

2007年的这一道光，我逆着光，即使痛得刺眼...却看见了希望，看见了爱我的人，看见了我爱的人...我愿意去相信，我会永不放弃.

Translation: This trail of light in 2007, I go against the light even though how much it hurts the eye....I see hope, i see the ppl who love me, I see the people I love.....I'm willing to believe, I will never give up.

Its so.....motivating.I don't feel that it is any declaration of love or announcement of love found in it at all.Its so filled with 希望. Well....now that the air is cleared and the disappointment is over, everything have gone back to normal.Don't worry, If i really find one, I'd definitely tell u all....REALLY!*with big big eyes*

I guess Stefanie's song have never failed to touch my heart.She's the only person in this world who successfully make me take out RM150 to buy her album...and still feel its worth every single cent i spent. I guess if she would sing a whole album in English, I'd buy it even if it costs RM100 for 10 songs...she sings great in English! *grins*I just cant wait to buy her new album 逆光 Against the Light which is suppose to come out on the 21st of march 2007....unfortunately I'll be stuck on campus till the 30th.Just hope when i get back I'd still be able to get her album...hopefully the Taiwan version :) After going through so much trouble securing her previous album(had to ask ppl to go singapore to look for it) I'd really keep my fingers crossed that I'd be able to get it here.But in the meantime i can be happy for a while that i got to download her new song(which is a radio recording courtesy of some really nice fan club member ) and listen to it 24/7 till i get my hands on the album.My roomies(new converts...LOL!) loves the song too....HURRAY!

Last day of the month..........

Do people who were born on the 29th February celebrate their birthdays on the 28th February or 1st March. I've always wondered about that. But then it doesn't matter la, maybe they can celebrate on both days also.

Today was a busy day, woke up to do my sequential diagram, met with my supervisor for our group project, met with the tech guy in our university to discuss about the possibility of us getting a space to host our files(which we got in the end) and Went to watch the mischievous Lion Dance in our University, then back to my room to do my work.I'm glad that my flu is better....way better than expected, so I'm on the road to recovery.But workload is now starting to pour in.

I'm now blogging in tiscra1 (the comp lab) ,connection in the room sucks and aircond here is way better than the stale air.Lots of people around here, its way more than the amount of ppl here during examination period.Mostly friendster, youTube and messaging here.

Wont be able to go back this weekend , but i hope i'll be well enough to do some sports.I'm starting to get rounder.....and thats not a good thing.I guess i'll miss the TV and the internet connection the most.

WanTon producing CNY.

Don’t you just hate it when Chinese New Year is not over yet(at least the holiday mood isn’t) but you’ve got sick and yet have to drag yourself to classes no matter how much u hate it? Nothing beats having a WanTon factory(FLU driven nose) which packs about one pack of tissue paper an hour. I’ve even gone to the point of using toilet rolls, coz its more economical and at least its tender to my poor nose and the WanTon doesn’t burst that easily(go figure). At least i know i’m still okay since i’ve still got my sense of humor intact.

CNY had been fun. Did many crazy stuff, laughed alot, ate alot, weather also hot....TV sucked but it was a good break from campus. I was telling my dad that ppl balik kampung during CNY but i go back town, when ppl go back town after CNY , I balik Kampung Semenyih......*sigh* thats realityla....but i wont be enjoying also if i'm at home now, even the best food taste bland with FLU.

If you’ve been wondering y i haven’t been blogging for quite sometime now, coz i’ve been lazy and i’m actually trying to get a new page up but its still in its experimental stages. Not sure when will it be done but hopefully with the little bit time i can find here and there, i should be able to finish it in a month or two.In the mean time i’ll be busy with my projects and assignments, if the connection here is Okay, you’ll see me blogging more often.
